The house which was purchased in June 2003 by its present owners has undergone substantial tasteful renovation featuring a mixture of both traditional and contemporary style interiors which complement the historic Victorian architecture and enhance the warm friendly welcome and attention to detail received from the thirty or so enthusiastic staff.

All of the sixteen en suite spacious rooms are non smoking and the Woodland Wing rooms are ideal for guests wishing to bring their dogs.

The hotel welcomes children over 14 years old.

There are several excellent golf courses within easy driving distance and The Edgemoor is the ideal centre for walking breaks as well as many outdoor country sporting pursuits such as horse riding Exeter and Newton Abbot falconry mountain biking and shooting.

Directions:

From M5 South take the A38 towards Plymouth. At The Drumbridghes Intersection take the A382 towards Bovey Tracey. Continue straight on at the first roundabout and turn lefat at the second B3387 towards Haytor and Widdecombe. After half a mile fork left towards Haytor and you will find us a quarter of a mile further on the right.
